In Episode 141, Dr. Trayford teaches us that when balance gets worse memory gets worse. impaired vestibular system people find vertigo rides terrifying. the vestibular system is connected to other parts of the brain like the frontal lobes and limbic system. That explains why vertigo triggers emotional reactions.
dual tasking has a compound effect. Counting backward from 100 by threes standing on 2 feet is dual tasking. when we improve brain function through combining physical and mental activity people get better. there are a lot of causes for dimentia, but sometimes people can improve.
The 134th brain training tip is to turn your right hear toward someone if you want to understand them better. You may even already do this subconsciously. This activates the left side of your brain which processes language. Thanks for listening. Continue reading
