Good morning listeners! Happy Monday and welcome to Episode 218. Today Dr. Trayford continues his discussion of the biomarkers of concussion. There are indicators that doctors use to measure the effects of a traumatic brain injury and the progress toward recovery that can be made. The autonomic nervous system relegates our vital functions like heart rate, blood pressure, breathing patters, etc. There are markers that can be tested so that you can measure each of these functions.

The tip for today is to gargle. Gargling can stimulate the “vegas nerve” which can enhance digestion. What’s good for the body is good for the brain! Have a great day.
