This can cause a conundrum for doctors because it is not clear where to intervene. Today Dr. Trayford shares brain training tip number 117. Getting your eyes checked usually means getting glasses, but Dr. Trayford would also want to look at how your eyes move. People come into his office for performance, attention anxiety, etc. and one of the first things Dr. Trayford looks at is the eyes. Using Videonystagmography, seeing how well you move your eyes slow, how well you move your eyes fast, and the ability to hold your eyes on a target, he can help diagnose which part of the brain is not working properly. He has talked about limiting consumption of blood sugar, but on the opposite end of the spectrum he wants to caution us against letting our blood sugar become too low as a result of skipping meals. This is not an effective dieting technique, in fact it will most likely prevent your body from releasing fat.
